Pantry Makeover
When we finished the winter months (and what a hard winter for some of you), it is time to focus on spring! Also known as the season of purification.
We should not only focus on a clean diet, but should also focus on eating a clean pantry and fridge. As it would take some time and throw the leftovers from Tupperware not know when or expired milk and moldy cheese? This will prevent not only that food-borne diseases, but to help you start over, fill your room with healthy choices.
This website, Life Advice (click on link) is a great resource for food security and has information about the difference between the expiration dates and maturity dates, storing food properly and the amount of food the weather will be bad before properly stored.
Here are some simple steps to start a pantry and refrigerator Makeover:
1) Have you expired food cans and bags bulging with holes. Note: If in doubt, throw it out!
2) Clean the refrigerator shelves and shelves of the pantry or closet.
3) Remove the white rice, fried salt such as crisps, sugary cereals, vegetable oils, high-sodium soups, canned dairy products, processed, packaged meat, sugary sodas and fruit juices, and fat-free foods with artificial sweeteners.
4) Fill with whole grains (brown rice, barley, quinoa, amaranth, spelled, whole wheat pasta), nuts and seeds, healthy oils like olive, canola and peanut oil, whole grain cereals, in canned / fresh beans, seasonal produce, salsa, hummus and homemade soups. You must also add a jar of water with your choice of cucumber, oranges, lemons, limes, or a refreshing taste with no added sugar!
