Weight Loss POWER PHRASES!
Hi everyone,
Question: What are the two largest power phrases to lose weight ?!?!?
Response: "Thank you" and "Oh."
Confused? I thought I could …
If someone greets you – just say thanks. It is one of the best things you can do for your soul. Not to defend or deny – they are only hurting yourself (and possibly sending a message that does damage to the sender). One may register you for the miracle of self-concept, emotional growth and healing to your inner critic. And thanks often leads to a smile. And we all know, the smiles to burn calories.
If someone says something directly, harmful, abusive, etc – say ay. This simple statement implies that the comment was received as hard or painful. It makes the defense of another person either deny or say just to take his position. Do not assume to roll, remove or stew on things that may have been simple misunderstandings – of handling real-time! You may be pleasantly surprised at how often this avoid hurt feelings and adjustments related to the root problems. And we all know that feelings of happiness does not have to eat.
The house is very stressful sometimes are. These two tactics can help make it one of confidence and control over their emotions.

Combining Carbs and Protein
One of the nutritional concepts that we teach at The Resort and that I find is the most practical and realistic for people to follow is the plate method for meal planning. With the plate method, we try and make 1/2 of our plate vegetables and/or fruits, 1/4 of our plate lean protein and 1/4 of our plate a whole grain. I like this method because it can be a good visualization for people, and it also advocates eating a combination of healthy carbohydrates with good, lean proteins.
- Tuna fish on whole grain crackers
- An apple with a piece of string cheese
- An egg with a slice of whole grain toast
- Cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese with a low-fat vinaigrette dressing (the dressing, if made with healthy oil like olive oil, adds a healthy fat, which is a good addition)
